Emzy Clay Romans Jr. was born in Laclede County, Missouri in 1917. This is his life story including information about the 818th tank destroyer division during WWII. His mothers side of the family was Richard and I got back 5 generations to Samuel Richard who was born in 1787 in Pennsylvania. Included are all the photos and information I could find on his siblings and ancestors.

Nona Freeman has written many books telling the forty-one years share husband spent in Africa. She has tried to show her readers that the incomparable grace of Jesus is sufficient for every situation, no matter how ugly or how desperate. He is forever able! During the late 1980s, E.L. Freeman returned alone to the States to attend a board meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. While there, the Lord gave him the same vision He gave to his wife on the other side of the world. In part, he told them: "The churches in America are in trouble. The affluence of America has robbed them of their trust in me… I am sending you back… Accept every invitation you get to visit the churches and tell them ...

When a person is born and raised on a farm, that person is usually given a foundation for life that prepares them for the rigors needed to become successful in whatever they choose to do. This book is a collection of farm stories that influenced the author to eventually travel the world and compete successfully in a world not designed for the weak. Readers say: "Americana at its finest." "Stunning depiction of farm life back in the day." "I think all of us that lived thru that time wish we could have that time back, if only for a day." "I love your memories. Thank you so much for sharing them. Sorry if I'm repeating myself but they are so interesting. They go with yo ...

Conceived in the best of times, executed in the worst of times, Chicago’s Century of Progress Exposition, 1933-1934, was highly criticized, but none-the-less a phenomenal success. First proposed in 1928 to celebrate Chicago’s centennial, the new exposition was meant to return Chicago to fair fame after a succession of dull Beaux Arts expositions in San Francisco, St. Louis, and Philadelphia. The 1933 Chicago exposition was to be financed by the continuation of the 20’s boom years of industry and stock market gains, but the national economic crash of 1929 stopped. That such an event could happen, the fact that even the idea could survive, let alone be planned, financed and built duri ...

One thing I have wanted to do for many years is to put together a book featuring my mother Florence's stories. I want her spirit to live on through her folktales. Her stories are magical. My mother's legends have stayed with me all my life. I'm sure my brothers and sister heard the same yarns, but this book is written the way I remember them. I believe mom gave me her imaginative stories so I could write about them when I grew up. I wouldn't have written this book if I had not gone to college. I was in my forties and going to the University of Colorado at Denver when I discovered I had a talent for writing. One course I took in Women’s Studies was autobiographical writing. I began ...

This is the compelling true story of the author's parents, who lived as missionaries among Stone Age Spinifex aborigines in the Australian outback for almost two decades. Exciting adventures - vast cultural differences - living day to day under challenging conditions - became the undreamed-of reality for Bob and Ethel Stewart, an average American couple. In 2003, an Australian government official toured outback aboriginal communities. He was stunned to discover that, more than 35 years later, the aborigines of Western Australia not only remembered them, but still highly revered their Tjamu and Lyunku.
